Good ole Rocky Top a fun hike

Great fall color lined the trails to Rovky Top on top of Thumderhead mnt   U go up Anthony creek trail then Bote mnt. When u hit the AT go left.  In 400 yards is a great lunch spot w views of Fontana and Shuckstack tower.   Then it's 1.1 miles up to Rocky Top which is just rocks on the trail but gorgeous views. This year 78 degrees last shots from one year ago same 

 hike one foot of snow 

Park open so we hit Middle Prong to Indian flats falls

Most bike shops keep email lists and post weekly rides on their websites   Some such as West Bikes in Farragut have greenway rides planned on Saturdays for the whole family etc.

Devils Racetrack to Tank Springs 

With waterfalls, breathtaking vistas and cool Rock formations this is an awesome hike!   Google Cumberland Trail and you can find how to start behind cove lake.  We parked little closer to Devils racetrack on Shelton hollow rd off loop rd.( ask nice rangers in Cove Lake.Park).  Then we put one car at tank springs trail head. Light 7 in  Lafollate take left half mile u see tank springs on left.   There is lots poison ivy and some steep climbs. Dogs welcomed but on spot u have to climb a latter on a rock. Ledge.  About 9.5 miles one way

Cookville  is home  to some great State Parks including new  park Cummings Falls State Park  A 3 mile in out loop  trail w breathtaking overllooks  of the fall, nice  trails down to river and then  a little shallow wading and you will be at the falls.  One of best swimming  holes in South east   thanks Bill Little and the thur  hikers for letting me in on this..  amazing
